When properly dried (under 20% moisture), these oak barrel staves give you tremendous value: prolonged burn times, steady, clean heat, and a beautiful, aromatic fragrance reminiscent of whisky casks. The hardwood density of oak means fewer pieces needed for the same heat, reducing cost and effort over the winter.
Additional air drying will improve performance. For best results, burn when moisture content is under 20%.
