All You Need For Your Fixings

What you will need will depend on your specific project. If you are in doubt or just want to double check your plans, feel free to give us a call on 01236 727 776 or pop in and see us at our Cumbernauld yard. With over a couple decades’ experience under our belts, we’re confident that we’ll be able to help.

Have you ever heard the saying that a handyman only ever needs two things? Duct tape for when it moves but shouldn’t and WD40 for when it should move but doesn’t. Now, while we’re not disregarding the remarkable job of duct tape, there might be better ways to fix things in place.

For Wood

If you’re fixing wood, we recommend either our Rapier Deck Screws or Hex Head Landscape Screws. Both are coated to prevent corrosion and are specially designed for use with timber.

For Concrete

If you’re fixing something onto concrete we’ve got a couple options. For all things heavy duty, we have an 8mm Thunderbolt fixing. For deeper penetration into the concrete, we have a 7.5mm Direct Frame Fixing. Lastly, for larger drilled holes we have a Frame Fixing with a M10 nylon plug. If you’re unsure of what to get, simply give us a call.

For Outdoors

If you’re securing roofing felt, you need the right nails. Our 13mm Clout Nails are galvanised and specially designed for outdoor use. These nails should last a long time before you see even the slightest hint of corrosion. For all other outdoors projects we recommend our galvanised wire nails. With boxes of 0.5, 2.5 and 25KG we’ve got you covered no matter what size project you’ve taken on.

For Nail Guns

If you’ve splashed out on a nail gun you’ll need something to go in it. We’ve got boxes of 75mm and 51mm Quickload Nails on offer. Both comes with 2 fuel cells making sure that you have enough oomph to seat nails perfectly every time.
